WTC: Reception: Day 20
I'm back at the Rec-plex on a Saturday. Those of us at Reception waiting for a WTC class to start now number over 300. We've been told that the next class will only be able to accommodate 180 males and 60 females, with, in regard to males, a preference for hard-start (those who must make their scheduled follow-on training dates), National Guard, and Reserve soldiers. Being a National Guardsman in the first of ten or so platoons, I believe that my spot in the class is secure, and thank goodness. We sometimes do work details: picking up trash in an area or helping to process initial entry training soldiers, but mostly we do what is called 'barracks maintenance,' which is another term for sitting in a hot barracks and trying not to fall asleep. We should ship to WTC on Thursday.
The people here continue to get on my nerves. Among those who decide to return to the military, there should be a higher number of dedicated individuals in whom military bearing is obvious. Sadly, the tired, decrepit masses that constitute an inordinately large part of us are likely only to make the Army weaker. Please let us ship on Thursday.

Hi Seiji
My computer is finally letting me into your blog - hope all is well in WTC and that you are not too beat. Life here continues - Corrigan has many changes going on - not great - I'm trying to put Mr. Potato Head into a program - maybe in New Haven . Take care of yourself and Happy New Year
