Hope Is Coming 5K

I've read that one shouldn't start speed work until one averages ten miles a week. I've just started averaging that much, and I've also been active in other ways (PTing, marching, rucking, etc.) lately. Basically, I'm a somewhat fit fellow who runs really slowly. It's been some years since I ran a 5K, so this one should give me a baseline of 5K-no speed work performance.
